Too many regulations hamstring schools 238 words While I applaud the notion that “good enough is no longer good enough,” espoused by state Superintendent Stan W. Heffner, it raises the question of what the Kasich administration and legislature are doing to fix a long-failed approach to oversight and funding of Ohio’s public system (“State school chief wants to raise the bar,” Dispatch article, Wednesday). Most Ohio school districts’ goals relate primarily to meeting the Ohio Department of Education’s woefully insufficient standards. The remediation statistics cited are very old news….
